Summer fun!

Wow, I'm coming to a sad realization that the days are numbered for summer. It is almost the end of August, and the weather is getting very strange. The weather had a couple of cold spells, but it definitely warmed up again. As a mom on mat leave, I am definitely trying to take advantage of every minute of the summer. We've been going strawberry picking, splash pads, festivals, local parks and playgrounds, road trips to see family, day trips to different amusement parks. I find just staying locally can make a fun and easier day. Especially with two young ones in tow.

Our fave places in the area is Chinguacousy Park. There is a petting zoo, pony rides, sometimes amusement park rides, playground, flower gardens and a splash pad. Can't wait to check this place out in the winter since they have a ski hill too! Maybe K will be hitting the slopes this year. It may be the perfect bunny hill ;)

Tomorrow our lil guy will be turning nine months. I really don't know where the time goes. He already has his first tooth, just came in this past week!!
 It's been an amazing time and I know that I will be hit with reality in just a couple of months when I will have to find work again. But for now, I am living every moment! Even this past weekend, where I had to stay home with my loved ones since they were all sick with the cold and/or flu. My hubby and the kids were sick. But they will get better soon and off to plan our next adventure...will it be CNE or Wonderland??!?

It's about time ...

Wow, it is now March 2013 and the last time I blogged was last year in July. My life has definitely has some major changes but I wouldn't change any of it. Really time does fly by. I know everyone says it, but it really does. 

We had our second child in December, a little guy "Logan Ryder". He is now 3 months old. Kate has been a super big sister. They are both keeping us busy but definitely worth it :)

I am looking forward for the weather to get warmer to go out and do some hiking, walks around the neighbourhood and going to the park. Even outdoor water parks and pools. Amusement parks and the Zoo.

So I will slowly ease myself back into blogging and see what I have missed. My time has been consumed with other networks, when I have a free moment. But there is something liberating about writing on a blog. Being able to share these special moments but also the friendships that you gain.

So. I am back. And I can't wait to see where it takes me.

It's Spring...It's Spring!

It is officially spring now but it definitely doesn't feel like it. Earlier today I was staring out at the window and there was a snow blizzard. Winter is still here to stay but we are not letting it damper our spirits.

We are hitting a local farm on Saturday for some fun activities, like egg hunting, watch a puppet and magic show and egg decorating. They also have a fruit winery which I can't wait for, so I can do some sampling. The blueberry wine is definitely my favourite.

What do you plan on doing this weekend?
