Oh Canada...

I know it's a bit late, but I'm hoping everyone had a good Canada day. The weather was amazing. We have been very fortunate so far, that we've been blessed with beautiful weather for our holiday long weekends.

I had to buy this hoodie, it was too cute!

This past weekend was our first real road trip with Katelyn. We headed down to Windsor. And I can say that she is a real trooper, she slept most of the way driving there and coming back. Though packing for a trip is definitely a new learning experience with a newborn. There is just so much to bring along with you, though we did pack a few things that we didn't end up using while we were down there. But I am still glad that we brought them down with us.
All the times we travelled back home during my pregnancy it was tough to have most of the rest areas closed for construction in the last half of the trip. But seeing the new service stations, I guess it was worth it.
We stopped at the Tilbury station on the way down. Since the facilities were new, the washrooms were nice and clean. And I couldn't believe the size of the change table in the family room.

The weekend was filled with seeing new places and new faces. She was able to see both her grandparent's houses and meet many of their friends.

Here are a few pics from our weekend!

Katelyn found a swing at Grandma's.

There was a "Show and Tell" party on Saturday for Katelyn to meet her Lolo and Lola's friends.

Baba, Katelyn and Hubby. Baba is my hubby's old babysitter and she was watching him at Katelyn's age. She was so happy to meet her! And I'm sure giving her alot of advice already. Possibly sharing her wisdom, since she is 92 years of age and still strong!

Old fireworks that hubby found while cleaning out his room.

And on Sunday before we left we went out for breakfast for my sister's birthday. It was more of a brunch since we wanted an early start on the road to head back. We were surprised that we were the first to arrive at the restaurant since we had a new baby, but we'll see how long that lasts.

After breakfast we went for Grandma's for cake. The cousins fell asleep during the 5 minute drive ;)

Happy Birthday Joannie!!!!
