Well this past Saturday Katelyn turned two months old. Time is flying by so quickly and she is growing fast.
This past week was very busy for our family. Now two weekends ago, we had three families come up to visit us from our home town. It was really great to hang out with them and for them all to finally meet our baby girl. Though it rained most of the weekend, we were able to spend some quality time together and mainly did indoor activities, such as eating, watching movies, playing video games and just plain old talking and catching up. Katelyn met more of her playmates that were excited to meet her.
We were sad to see them go !
On Thursday we had dinner with our cousin and her newborn. It was great to finally meet another new friend. After holding the little one it was hard to think that Katelyn was that small. She really is growing up so fast.
On Saturday, we had our first day/road trip. We drove out to Shanty Bay which is just outside of Barrie for our god daughter's first communion. It turned out to be a beautiful warm day. Katelyn proved to be a trooper by sleeping the whole drive up, the only stop we made was to fill up on gas in town, where we ended up staying a little longer for a diaper change. But either she was content looking out the window or sleeping most of the way up. And when we arrived at the house, she met more of her playmates.
She also slept through most of the mass, I wonder if it was because I attended mass weekly towards the end of my pregnancy that she was used to the choir music. But everyone was impressed that she was quiet throughout the whole mass. The only time she cried was when she was hungry and it happened right at the end of the mass when the music started. So it disguised her cries. It was a day of many firsts, since she also had her first bottle.
And that same night her grandparents arrived for a visit. It was great that they were able to celebrate hubby's first father's day. We went out for dim sum and enjoyed the beautiful weather.
So it has been a busy week or so, and tomorrow we'll be hitting the portrait studio for more pictures. Hopefully, it goes better this time around. Last time the small studio was warm, and with the constant flashing made Katelyn realize that modelling was a tough life :)
Happy hump day!

Wow, Katelyn is getting big and I have yet to meet her. You have to take a picture of her in the little outfit we gave her, well, when it actually fits her.
It looks like you are doing well and enjoying your time with her.
