I can't believe I am writing this a year later, but today was Katelyn's first day at DayCare.
Where has the past year gone? It's been a little crazy in our household with preparation for her birthday parties, finishing up another course at school and searching for daycares. Yesterday it all came together and fell into place. I had found a daycare that I felt comfortable with and I wanted her to start the next day to give her some time for adjustment before I start next week. Me and her were also able to meet up with her friend H and her mommy before they leave for the weekend for their weeklong vacay. So it was great to spend some girl time and celebrate that I actually found a day care. And I also was able to find a co-op placement that I needed for school to complete the program. It's actually a company that I have been looking at some time and I will be helping her out at the The Baby Time Show this weekend. I love what she does and I hope to have set up a company similar to what she is doing and making it available for mommies in my area. She provides cooking workshops, one on one consultations and family meal plans. So it is all coming together. So it will be a busy weekend with the Show, Kate's swimming, Portrait Studio appointment (of course, I need 1 year photos), a BBQ and the MS Walk but it will be the last one before I get back to work.
I just dropped off our baby girl for her first day. She wasn't too happy since she had fallen asleep on the way to the day care. You can see in the picture she wasn't impressed that she had to pose again. But she did wave bye to me. Driving away I just couldn't believe it. And when I arrived at home all I could think of is that the house will be ... quiet?! The funny thing, the song "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode started up on the radio. Funny, right? Well, I intend on taking a nap since the last couple of nights I have been staying up to finish up a final assignment for school. Hopefully I'll be able to relax and do it :)
Hopefully her friend Violet will keep her calm and safe! :)

Hmmm... looks like Katelyn is just copying mommy's face when mommy talks about her first day back to work. LOL! I can't believe almost a year has past! Crazy!
So now you've gone back to a quiet house. It won't be quiet for too long once your hubby and Katelyn get back! Enjoy your nap!
