I purchased the guidebook for breastfeeding by Dr. Jack Newman to have on hand after giving birth since I was told by many that he was the Canadian breastfeeding "guru". But the other night I started reading it and I actually found it interesting. The introduction started with a background on how it was in the 70's and how he started a breastfeeding clinic in the Toronto area to help woman when there was no support from the medical field. I have just started this book, but so far I recommend it.
Here is another interesting article that I found this morning.

Carol also posted a short entry on her blog about breastfeeding – did you see that?
I believe she talked about the same research. There have been alot of recent studies, and there is much more support nowadays then in the past. So that's good to know :)
I have never been breastfed. And LOOK AT ME NOW!!!>.... sooo perfect...
