Trip down memory lane.

I'm finally back to some blogging. It's been an eventful week after a restful long weekend. And I am currently in a cooking slump. With the constant change of weather, I am flip flopping back from warm stews and heavier dishes to BBQ summer fare and salads. What is a girl to do? So I've spent some time going over some of my cook books for more inspiration.

Well, with my spare minutes tonight while catching up on my Google Reader. I came upon a book review on a blog for Sweet Valley High Confidential. I may be one of the few, but I used to love reading them. They were always quick fun reads. Oddly making me envious of not being a twin :) So they now have a book, about Elizabeth and Jessica ten years later. Makes me wonder where all my old books are. I may have to pick this one up for kicks and it will be a fun read on the deck this summer.

Though I haven't had much time to get any reading done. :) I am back in class tomorrow. It is my final course before I complete the program. Where did the time go? I had taken a couple of breaks during school but somehow I am coming to the end. So for the next month or so I will have to hit the text books again but I've already started to line up what I want to read this summer. I really have to catch up. I usually like to read the books before they come out into movies but I just haven't made the time. One book that has been on my list was  "Water for Elephants" and I ended up watching it over the weekend. It surprised me and I really enjoyeed it. Now I'm wondering if I should still read the book?!

So back to the review. It just reminded me of all the other books that I used to read. Judy Blume, The Babysitter's Club, V.C. Andrews.

Yes, I know. Maybe I shouldn't be admitting to these ;)  Now teens are  reading Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, The Mortal Instruments Series & Twilight. Who am I kidding, so am I.

And the magazines! Do you remember Young and Modern (ym)

What books and magazines did you love?

I also read The Babysitters Club and YM. I also read BOP and Tiger Beat.

I think I have saved a couple of YM magazines or at least the quizzes from it. I should put one of the quizzes on my blog for fun!
