Well, I can’t believe today is already here. The last week or so has been crazy, but I think now we feel like we’ve done a lot and are somewhat ready. Ready as we’ll ever be.
Last Wednesday, we went back to the St. John’s Ambulance car seat clinic with a new car seat and the additional base for hubby’s truck. It was the same supervisor as the last time we were in and she remembered us. She went straight to my backseat to see which car seat we had….”Oh no, a Peg??!?” In my head, I was thinking, great here we go again, we’ll probably be here for more than an hour again but it will fit!
After filling out the appropriate paper work, the volunteer and my hubby got to work. It took a few minutes, but in comparision it felt like they were done in a second. The supervisor came up to inspect it, she filled out the form. And it was done! Wow, I guess the peg and jetta were meant to be J
On to the second car. It took a little bit longer, but that was soon done to. In half an hour we were driving out of the garage with our car seat installed. What a difference it made.
One more thing off our list!
On Thursday after work, I bought my breast pump…another thing off the list!
Friday, EP’s parents came down for a visit. They brought down the rest of the gifts from the shower in the dub. We had a good time of some sightseeing and eating, of course.
Saturday turned out to be a nice day so we headed to the distillery district for some window shopping and lunch. We hit Pure Spirits and the food was yummy as usual. We also stepped into the chocolate shop to intoxicate ourselves with the sweet smell of cocoa. The Patisserie also had macaroons selling for 6 for $10. And they were bigger than the usual ones we get at the Boulangerie in Port Credit. But I can’t believe that I didn’t get to go back and pick some up after lunch since our parking meter was running out. So definitely picking those up next time I’m in the area. Now that I think of it, I could of asked my dearest friend stingaling that was doing brunch the next day to pick some up….Oh well, always in hindsight.
Sunday we went to mass for Palm Sunday, followed with brunch and some shopping in the area. And Oakville for dinner. Yes, lots of eating over the weekend.
And now today, I can’t believe how fast everything ie. pregnancy is going. Today is my last day on the job. I decided to take some vacation time before the due date to possibly get some time for myself and of course, organize around the house. I guess the “nesting” feeling is coming upon me.
Gosh, never been so spoiled at work. A co-worker had brought in breakfast in the morning, we went out for lunch and there was cake as a late afternoon snack. Overall a great day! But what to do now?!?
Now off to the movies, to hopefully see Alice in Wonderland in 3D....

We will have to keep a running list of places to go to when we have a macaron craving. I think we are better off learning how to make them!
Yes, if I'd only known that I was that close to macarons on Sunday, I would've gotten some for sure! Ah well, next time.
I'm with Leesh – maybe it's something that we should learn to do ourselves. However, there is something very special about stumbling on a place that has them, and then bringing these treats home in a little fancy package!
I'm excited you found another place! and about making them....well, I'd rather buy them! lol!!!
Ai- yay! no more work!!!!
hmm...so many days at home...if i were you, i would go jogging, mountain climbing, skate boarding, scuba diving...oh wait...you are pregnant with the babay...i guess the only thing you can do is to stay home, get rested, and be ready for the babay....Orrr..you can drive back to work in the weekdays and have lunch with Benjamin Butterly....
