Books to read

Well, I have finally started to read some books again. Kate is taking her naps regularly during the day and has been sticking to her bedtime. Her bedtime routine has really helped to calm and relax her before we put her down for the night. So with my spare moments I am able to do more cooking and some reading. And with the cold weather coming I will probably hibernate and work on some crafty projects at home.

Secret Daughter, by Shilpi Somaya Gowda, HarperCollins Canada, 339 pages, $19.99

I just finished the book Secret Daughter, which was a touching story of a couple that are not able to have children and adopt a little girl from India. I think the story of the two mothers struggles is very touching and I couldn't help getting a bit too emotional. I definitely would recommend the book. I am currently reading The Carrie Diaries and it is definitely entertaining.

The Carrie Diaries

Another interesting book that is coming out is called Room.  It seems a bit disturbing but I'm intrigued by how this novel will be written since it is in the perspective of a 5 five year old.

I can't wait to read The Carries Diaries but before I can read it, I have to finish other books I have on my bookshelf.

Right now, I am reading Eat, Pray, Love and I am trying to finish the last volume of Vampire Diaries.
