Happy Labour Day

It's another lazy rainy day. Watching movies and hopefully baking something sweet to eat. I have collected alot of fabrics over the years, and I'm hoping to go through them to finally make a quilt for Kate. The only two quilts I finished were for our nephew, and I have a couple of others in progress. I think the quilts were completed because they were baby quilts. A lot smaller.

Our last long weekend of the summer and unfortunately the weather wasn't as great as the last too. But you really can't complain since it turned out to be a great weekend. We had a family party on Saturday that had some good eats but unfortunately Kate was not a happy guest. She was fussy the whole night since the house was extremely loud with everyone talking and the karaoke. We couldn't put her down to sleep so it was an early night for us. But we all went to bed early so we could make it out for a day at the rib fest. The next day while we were eating our ribs and enjoying the live music we were scared that it may rain down by the waterfront but the weather was amazing.

There would be periods of sunny heat and then a cool breeze would follow. Kate liked the wind and danced to the music.

The dark clouds were looming but nothing came of it.

The ribs were yummy and the walk by the water was relaxing. It was nice seeing everyone up and about walking with their families, friends and pets. A lot of cute dogs were out.

Might hit the mall later today to see what sales are going on for the back to school sales. I heart the fall and can't wait to start seeing the colours.

Enjoy the holiday!
